Definition

A unique identifier assigned by the Department’s IT Systems to a specific commitment, activity, or service engagement associated with a Workforce Australia participant. This identifier is used to track, manage, and reference participant-related commitments submitted to the department by a provider for reimbursement of a purchase(s) that has been made for good and services on behalf of a specific participant. Online Services employment fund transactions provide payments directly to participants to purchase items upon approval of a request and do not operate on the same reimbursement model.

Comments

Note: A Commitment can have multiple items recorded against it, but only if they belong to the same category and participant. For example, a purchase of 3 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a participant will raise only one commitment, but a purchase from the same vendor for a training course and a piece of PPE will raise two commitments.
