Definition

Statistical Areas Level 3 are the second largest sub-State regions in the Main Structure of the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS). They generally contain between 30,000 and 130,000 persons, and are intended to represent both regional cities and the area they service, and major transport/commercial hubs in major cities and the area they service.
